Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Holiday cancellation insurance forms
• “To Whom It May Concern” letters
• Passport signing
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Private letters
• Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.

We offer appointments with the musculoskeletal team via our first contact physiotherapists, please contact reception for more information.

Access to the dietician is available by referral.

Consultations are available on site through referral by the doctor.

Clinics are held on Thursday afternoon with the midwife attached to our practice. If you have any problems please contact the GP or your allocated midwife.

The Doctor and Practice Nurse are equipped to perform minor operations such as cyst, mole and wart removal. If you would like to discuss this please make an appointment with the doctor.

Clinics are now held at Normanton Health Centre. Please contact the clinic direct on 01924 228743 for details of clinic times.

Clinics cover weighing, feeding and weaning, development checks and an opportunity to discuss your baby’s wellbeing with the health visitor (Tel 01924 228743). Please note this clinic is not for ill babies, if your baby is ill then please make an appointment with the doctor during normal surgery hours.
